The Vasaloppet 2008 is officially underway! It’s Sweden’s oldest (and the world’s largest) cross-country ski marathon! Blåbär is the primary beverage sponsor of this event- and it has been since the first race in 1922! Watch this video to learn more about this historic event!

The Vasaloppet has gone high tech- and web friendly! Check out their website- www.vasaloppet.se. Now they have added two new exciting features to their internet coverage of the event: The Vasaloppet Google Maps, and The Vasaloppet Youtube Channel.

The Vasaloppet Youtube Channel features videos from the current race, as well as amazing footage from past races. If you scroll down to the “favorites” section, you’ll see our Blåbär videos are listed in the top slot!

The Vasaloppet Google Map is a new and very amazing way to keep up to date on the series of events that will span the course of this week. With this nifty tool you can:

• Search for a skier’s profile and track the participants along the race track.
• Monitor the top skiers’ results directly in the gadget
• Get the latest news from Vasaloppet.
• See weather and snow reports in the weather tab.
